How Emergency Care Works
FHS facilities are available 24/7 365 days a year to handle all emergency medical needs. When you experience a medical emergency, you are able to walk-in to any of our facilities to have a Medical Screening Evaluation (MSE) preformed to help determine the extent of the emergency. During this evaluation, the medical team will help stabilization the situation and determine the best course of action, which may include running additional diagnostics to rule out potentially life threating conditions. Some diagnostics may include our on-site imaging or labs which will provide quick results to assist the provider in creating the best treatment plan.
Pre-Register or Walk-in
Skip the wait and pre-register prior to arriving at the facility to speed up the process, or walk-in and speak with our registration team.
Medical Screening
Our medical team will begin to evaluate you for any life-threating conditions and use diagnostic imaging and testing if medically appropriate to determine this.
Create A Treatment Plan
Your provider will call in review results, provide diagnoses, call-in any necessary prescriptions and provide a treatment plan to help you feel better quickly.
*Following discharge, it is recommended to follow up with your Primary Care Physician (PCP). If you do not have a primary care physician, speak with our registration team at check out and they would be happy to help coordinate a follow-up visit with our team. You can also visit our Primary Care page to self-book a follow-up appointment.

Your Medical Costs?
Frequently Asked Emergency Care Questions
Will You Accept My Health Insurance?
In the event of an emergency, your health insurance will be accepted at our emergency department regardless of in-or-out of network status. We will work with your insurance company to settle the details of the emergency room visit. Please know that we want to focus on your emergency FIRST, then worry about the financials SECOND.
How Much Will It Cost Without Insurance?
It is very difficult to determine the total cost of the visit prior to meeting with our medical team, for this reason, we can provide range of costs between $400 - $1,850 for the emergency room visit, imaging, and labs. In the event you need to be observed for an extended period of time (3 to 24 hours) to rule out a life-threatening concern, the self-pay rate would be $3,000. If you are concerned with the costs, we encourage you look into our FHS membership program that includes the ER visits at no additional costs, memberships start at $125/m for individual. We also offer couple and family membership plans!
Why Did I Receive Two Bills?
We are required to separate our billing for legal and insurance purposes. The two separate bills are for the same visit, however one is for the professional services rendered and the other is for the facility (Emergency Room, Supplies, Imaging, Labs, etc.).
To learn more about our billing process, visit here or speak with our billing team at:
